Delhi Deputy CM kick-starts admission process for International Students for 2020 by launching the International Admissions website at IIIT-Delhi
New Delhi: In line with the target of making Delhi a global destination for World Class education, the Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia kick-started the process for International Students admissions to more than 21 programs at IIIT-Delhi by launching the website.
The Institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs in Computer Science (CS), Electronics and Communications (ECE), Computational Biology (CB), Human Centered Design (HCD), Mathematics and Social Sciences (SSH). Inter-disciplinary undergraduate programs in CS+X format equip the students to apply CS knowledge to domains like Social Sciences, Mathematics, Design and Artificial Intelligence and be ready for challenges in the future.
The Institute boasts of world-class faculty, more than 70% of whom have earned a degree from a foreign university. It is no wonder that this Research led Teaching Institute has climbed up the rankings in various charts to be rated amongst the top 1% of engineering institutes in the country.
Global infrastructure at IIIT-Delhi includes smart classrooms, air-conditioned hostels, state-of-the-art sports complex with indoor swimming pool, collaborative workspaces, richly appointed library complex, and advanced computational labs. The campus is well connected with three metro stations in its vicinity and has safe residential spaces for students and faculty.
The admissions for International students will happen in three phases. The early action application deadline for B.Tech admissions is 7-Nov-2019. Regular application deadline is 1-Jan-2020 and Late Action deadline is 1-Mar-2020. Similarly, early, regular and late application deadlines for M.Tech admissions are 1-Dec-2019, 1-Feb-2020, and 1-Apr-2020.
To encourage meritorious international students to study at IIIT-Delhi, the institute has decided to offer a large number of fellowships. The fellowships have been instituted with the intent that no deserving student should be deprived of quality education due to financial constraints.
To be eligible for the International Students’ application process, the student should either be a foreign citizen or must be pursuing (or completed) the qualifying exam (Class-XII or equivalent for B.Tech admissions; BE/ B.Tech or equivalent for M.Tech admissions) from a foreign institution. The equivalence of qualifying exams is determined by the Association of Indian Universities (http://aiu.ac.in).
