Deliberations held on research methodology

ALIGARH  : The research students and faculty members at the Faculty of Theology, Aligarh Muslim University gathered together to discuss various aspects of research methodology and enrich their research work with novel and innovative ideas.

In his welcome address, the Dean, Faculty of Theology, Prof. Tauqeer Alam emphasized that mere compilation of literature is not research; rather it is an in-depth analysis of the theme bringing out a novel and meaningful conclusion.

In his presidential remarks, Prof. Asmer Beg, Department of Political Science, discussed the importance of selection of topic and conducting a structured review of literature. He further elaborated on the concept of research gaps and identification of the gap that a researcher can fill with his research work.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Asif Akhtar, Department of Business Administration, urged the research scholars to make the best use of modern technology, including the artificial intelligence and data science, in conducting their research work.

The Chairman, Department of Shia Theology, Prof. Syed Mohammad Asghar urged the scholars to remain neutral while dealing with the ideas of other scholars that can only help them make a research free from any bias.

Dr. Mohd. Asim conducted the programme while Dr. Hadi Raza extended a vote of thanks.
