DEO Ramban inaugurates 3 day training programme for ROs, AROs

Ramban: District Election Officer (DEO), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today inaugurated a three day training programme for Returning Officers (ROs), Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) ahead of District Development Council (DDC) elections and by elections for Panchayat and MCs.

He gave necessary instructions to the ROs and AROs with regard to their duties and responsibilities during the election process and stressed upon them to work in coordination to get best results on the ground level.

He directed all concerned to go through the election hand book for attaining more knowledge about the election process.

The DEO also discussed other issues including notification, process of polling, sealing of ballot boxes, reservation for women etc.

The DEO directed the Health department and all the ROs and AROs for both MC/ Panchayat by-election and DDC election to strictly implement the COVID-19 SOPs during the election and counting process.

During the training program, the ROs and AROs were imparted training by the master trainers about their role and responsibilities during the polls.

They were also sensitized about Model Code of Conduct, Nomination Process, Scrutiny of Nomination Forms, Withdrawal of Candidature and other allied procedures for the smooth conduct of the elections.
