Department of Ecology Environment & Remote Sensing Department organizes Environmental Awareness Programme

Jammu: Department of Ecology Environment & Remote Sensing organized an Environmental Awareness Programme at Doon Kids School Bhatindi Narwal Jammu.
The main objective of the function was to create Environmental Awareness among the students regarding the issues related to Wet Lands and solid and plastic waste management.
While addressing the gathering, ESC from DEERS Saleem ul Haq spoke on the theme of World Wetlands Day 2020, which is an opportunity to highlight wetland biodiversity, its status, its importance and actions to reverse its loss.
The students participated in several activities including drawing and essay writing competition, skits etc. The prizes along with appreciation certificates were awarded to the meritorious students in respective fields. The eco friendly material like jute bags were distributed among to the dignitaries.
