Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University conducted Online viva

Aligarh : As a fall out of COVID-19 Pandemic, the department of English, Aligarh Muslim University conducted the online PhD Viva-voce of Ms Asvat Kord. Professor M S Pandey, former Chairman, Department of English, Banaras Hindu University was the external examiner.

Prof M Rizwan Khan, Chairman, Department of English and the Supervisor of Ms Asvat Kord, said that the online viva voce examination, first such effort in the university, is in line with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tariq Mansoor?s initiatives to protect the academic career of students by holding online teaching and examinations.

The viva was attended by fifty-four participants, including faculty members.

Prof Khan said that conduct of this online Viva-voce has opened a new window for research scholars waiting for their turn. He said the university is going to witness a number of online viva-voce examinations soon.
