Department of Mathematics to Organise International Conference on September 23-25

Aligarh : The Department of Mathematics, Aligarh Muslim University will organize a “G20 themed international conference on variational analysis and optimization with applications” during September 23-25, 2023. The conference will feature several eminent mathematicians, especially from G-20 nations, working in the area of variational analysis and optimization with applications.

The Convener of the conference Prof Q A Ansari informed that the inaugural function will be held on September 23, at 9:30 am at the new Conference Room of the Department of Mathematics.

Prof. Mohammad Gulrez, AMU Vice-Chancellor, will be the Chief Guest, while Prof. Tamas Terlaky, Lehigh University, USA, will be the Guest of Honor.

Prof M Ashraf, Chairman of the Department said that the conference will bring together some of the brightest minds in the fields of Variational Analysis and Optimization, which lie at the heart of modern science and technology, and are the driving forces behind advancements in fields as diverse as machine learning, engineering, economics, and healthcare, railways and public transport systems.
