Department of Sociology and Social Work at Science Week at the Cadet School

The week from 8 to 14 February was declared the Week of Science at the Petrozavodsk Presidential Cadet School.
Representatives of the Department of Sociology and Social Work of PetrSU were also invited to deliver a short lecture for the students. Associate professor of the department Olga Yurievna Kulakovskaya and senior teacher Denis Igorevich Sachuk visited the PPKU on February 11.

The staff of the department was invited to acquaint cadets with the peculiarities of the social sphere of modern Russian society. Olga Yurievna and Denis Igorevich divided the allotted time equally and outlined, from the point of view of their specialties, views on the social problems of modern Russia.

The audience was made up of pupils of 6-8 grades of PPKU, in total more than 80 cadets attended the meeting. Despite the certain complexity of the topic, the guys listened to the speeches attentively, at the end the lecturers were asked questions that confirmed the interest of the guys and the relevance of the speeches of the department staff.

After the meeting, O.Yu. Kulakovskaya and D.I. Sachuk received letters of thanks from the PPKU, and the event participants agreed that such cooperation should be continued and developed on both sides.
