Department of Social Work and SOCH organized orientation cum workshop
Aligarh: Department of Social Work and SOCH …beyond the imagination organized orientation cum workshop on the topic “Professional Social Work and Role of NGOs in Community Development” in Conference Hall D/O Social Science AMU,Aligarh.
Mr. Lalit kumar ACM II was chief guest of the occasion.
Dr Naseem Ahmad Khan Chairperson Department of Social Work Guest of Honour , Speaker Panelist Mrs. Sapan Kay Cee (Special Guest) Mr Omar S. Peerzada PRO AMU (Guest of Honour) Mr. Saad Hameed TPO general AMU , Dr Qurratul Aein Ali, Dr Sadaf Jafri, Zeeshan Ahmad APRO and Dr Mohd Uzair was also present.
The event was started with recitation of the holy Quran followed by welcome speech, introduction of SOCH and then all the guests expressed their views on the topic.
Dr. Sadaf Jafri active member of SOCH and guest speaker of the event introduced SOCH through powerpoint presentation and made the working strategy brief to the audience.
Dr Saleem Mohammad Khan President of SOCH and an alumnus of AMU welcome all guests on behalf of SOCH.
Mr. Saad Hameed TPO General AMU said that we need to differentiate charity and NGO on technical grounds , he also suggested some technicalities for adding professionalism in NGOs culture.
Mr Omar Saleem Peerzada welcome all the guest and ensured all the working NGO especially SOCH for all kind of necessary help from his department, he said together we can draft a big change In the society we want. At last he added education without service to humanity is waste.
Dr Sapan Kay Cee said that we need a bunch of skillfull people with great vision and mission that can bring revolutionary changes in the society.
Dr Naseem Ahmad Khan Chairman Dept of Social said that to run NGOs we need people of different profession who are expert in their feild. He added we should move with positive approach. He appreciated the efforts made by SOCH and promised all kind of support.
Cheif guest Mr. Lalit Kumar ACM II also expressed his valuable views and said that real nationalism is service to humanity and the Nation. We the people of India should join hands in nation building.

Dr Mohd Uzair & Dr Sapan Kay Cee Conducted Workshop and described in detail about Professional Social Work and Role of NGOs in community development. Students actively participated and clarifies their conception regarding charity and Social Work.
In organising such a wonderful programme Miss Saeba Farrukha , Rayyan Azmi, Faraz Murtaza, Amir Siddique, Sartaj Alam, Adil Naseer, Furqan Khan, Adil Jawahar, Amood Gulzar played an important role in organising the event.
