DG IMPARD chairs joint inaugural function of three training courses at Srinagar

 

SRINAGAR : Director General, Institution of Management and Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD), Saurabh Bhagat, today presided over joint inaugural function of three training courses.

The courses included “Participatory Administration and Collective Decision Making”, “Life Style Skills” and “Development of Smart Cities”.

While addressing the trainee participants, Saurabh Bhagat highlighted relevance of these training programmes in extending good governance to the people.

DG said that the training course on “Life Style Skills” has been designed to inculcate a sense of creating balance in the administrative set up through time management, stress management and goal setting especially during present pandemic times when stress levels are very high. He said that IMPARD has entered into an understanding with the police department to train police personnel in carrying out their work with a human approach. This training would be all about the Art of Better Living even when the work is rather stressful, he added.

Saurabh Bhagat said that the concept of smart city should not be blind modernization but smart handling of waste, providing better transport, preserving natural beauty, controlling pollution so that the modern city becomes a better world to live in for humans.
