DG IMPARD holds meeting with NeGD, ISTM regarding Learning Management System in Jammu and Kashmir

 

SRINAGAR : Director General, Institute of Management Public Administration and Rural Development, Saurabh Bhagat, today convened an online meeting with Director, National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Satya Meena and Joint Director, Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), New Delhi, Deepak Bist regarding Learning Management System (LMS) in Jammu and Kashmir.

It was decided in the meeting to adopt online training methodology to expand the outreach of training to thousands of officers and officials and around 34000 PRI functionaries besides other concerned. In this regard, the NeGD and ISTM expressed commitment to support in designing LMS which could be used by IMPARD to provide capacity building training to frontline functionaries of the UT.

National e-Governance Division (NeGD) assured their support in providing technical assistance to J&K IMPARD in their e-Governance projects and also handholding training to the officers of the Institute.

Pertinently, LMS automatically generates certificates, Management Information System (MIS) reports, assessment management, classroom management, skill gap and competency mapping besides other connected services. It will also ensure effective citizen engagement and communication with all stakeholders using offline and social media channels

Thus, equipped with LMS the J&K IMPARD would be in a better position to provide training to functionaries of the UT suitable to present conditions. Also the ISTM will help IMPARD in improving the provision of online Secretariat Assistant Training.

Director General informed the meeting that Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) is planning to launch District Good Governance Index (DGGI) 2.0 Dashboard and LMS of J&K IMPARD on 22nd February, 2022.

Abishek Singh, CEO NeGD, Shilou, General Manager LMS project and Vinay Thoker from NeGD attended the meeting virtually.

The faculty members, Directors Training and other officers of both Srinagar and Jammu offices of IMPARD also attended the meeting.
