DG Okonjo-Iweala welcomes Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to the WTO
Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala welcomed Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to the WTO on 6 July. The two discussed the outcomes achieved at the WTO’s recent 12th Ministerial Conference, food insecurity and the conflict in Ukraine, and how to ensure food shipments get to those in need during the current crisis.
Spain has been a WTO member since 1 January 1995 and a member of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) since 29 August 1963.
