DG Women, Child Development reviews functioning of ICDS

Jammu: Director General Women and Child Development J&K, Mir Tariq Ali revived the functioning of ICDS in Jammu division here today.
The meeting was attended by Nitu Gupta, MD ICDS J&K, D.S. Katoch, JD ICDS J&K, Atul Kumar, Deputy Director ICDS Jammu besides all the District Programme Officers and Child Development Project Officers of the division.
The objective of the meeting was to ensure that all schemes of Government of India and Union Territory of J&K are being implemented in the division on ground in toto and the eligible beneficiaries are benefitted as per norms of the schemes.
He directed all the participants to work in the field with dedication, sincerity and ensure that supplementary nutrition and other benefits are provided to the beneficiaries as per the norms of the schemes. Besides, some other issues related to functioning of the department were also discussed and it was emphasized upon the officers and officials to ensure that fruitful results are obtained at ground level by giving benefits to poor and downtrodden people.
