DHS Jammu chairs Orientation Training Programme under Biomedical Equipments, Management and Maintenance

JAMMU : An Orientation Training Programme under Biomedical Equipments, Management and Maintenance Programme (BEMMP) for Nodal Officers of districts and facilitators up to PHC level was today held here at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar.

The training programme was chaired by Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman in the presence of Dy. Director HQ Dr. Deepak Kapoor, Dy. Director Schemes, Dr. K.C Dogra, State Malariologist, Assistant Director Schemes, Controller of Stores, Zonal Leprosy Officer and State Venerologist.

The training programme was specially designed to orient the Nodal Officers BEMMP for assessment of equipment available in District Hospitals, Sub District Hospitals, Community Health Centers and Primary Health Centers for their safety and reliability. The trainees were sensitised by Managing Director M/S Medicity regarding all aspects of the programme through a PowerPoint Presentation.

It was informed that M/S Medicity will facilitate the repair of the machinery/ equipment free of cost, if tagged, even if it is in warranty period/ AMC. Directions were issued to tag all the machinery/ equipment available in the health institutions. The machinery/ equipment declared beyond repair by Medicity shall be immediately put for condemnation as per guidelines.

The Director Health Services Jammu appreciated the Nodal officers of district Kathua, Udhampur and Samba for doing well under this programme. The DHS Jammu exhorted M/S Medicity to organise such type of review workshops at district level also.

The CMO Jammu, Medical Superintendents SDH Jagti, Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Govt. Hospital Sarwal and Rajiv Gandhi Hospital Gangyal were also present, while the CMOs of other districts virtually attended the programme.
