DIC Rajouri hosts Webinar-cum Training program for entrepreneurs

Rajouri: A Webinar-cum-Training Programme was organized by District industries Centre Rajouri in collaboration with GeM, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India for registration on GeM portal.
The online training for registration on GeM was organised on the overall directions and supervision of Commissioner Secretary to Government Industries and Commerce Department Manoj Kumar Dwivedi and Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu, Anoo Malhotra.
General Manager, DIC Rajouri, Manzoor Hussain gave a brief outline of the training process and threw light on importance and implication of the GeM Portal vis a vis business community willing to buy and sell their commodities or products on a common & one stop shop platform.
Over 200 entrepreneurs participated in the live training imparted by the GeM in collaboration with the finance Department wherein Kush Tyagi, a guest training faculty provided valuable inputs regarding the introduction, its inception and registration on GeM Portal.
Later, a question answer session was also held wherein different entrepreneurs raised various queries which were satisfactorily responded by the guest faculty. Besides this, the officers of the DIC Rajouri gave a detailed description of Entrepreneurs Development Scheme with special thrust on PMEGP along with the procedure of different registrations e.g. Udyam, UAM & GeM.
The participants were also informed to register themselves with DIC Rajouri to avail maximum benefits in the form of subsidies provided by the Government for the progress of local entrepreneurs with special focus on traditional artisans.
State Taxes Officer, Khalid Manhas also briefed the gathering regarding GST registration and timely submission of GST Returns. The Bankers also made the participants aware about the benefits of UDYAM, registrations and various incentives enshrined in Atam Nirbar.
Functional Managers, Mushtaq Ahmed and Abdul Jabbar presented vote of thanks and assured the participants all possible assistance for registration process on GeM Portal from DIC office Rajouri.
Others who attended the online training session included Industrial Promotion Officer, Asief Mehmood, Assistant Extension Officer, Shehzad Ahmed and the staff of DIC Rajouri.
