DIC Ramban organizes seminar for aspiring entrepreneurs
Ramban: District Industries Centre, Ramban today organized a one day seminar to educate the aspiring entrepreneurs about the government schemes and policies for promotion of Industry.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam was the chief guest.
Labour and Employment department, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Khadi and Village Industry Board, besides several other departments associated with job orientation schemes, potential entrepreneurs, trainees from ITI and Polytechnic College participated in the seminar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; General Manager, District Industry Centre Vishwajeet and other senior officers of concerned departments were also present.
In his address, the Chief Guest urged the government departments to focus on skill up-gradation of youth in the areas which have a strong raw material base. He asked the youth to explore the potential in Agriculture, Horticulture and allied sectors.
The DC also constituted a Career Counseling Committee headed by General Manager, DIC and comprising Principal Polytechnic College, Assistant Director, Employment, Superintendent ITI, and Nodal Officer JKEDI to sensitize the youth about various job-orientated schemes, besides facilitating exposure tours to help them establish their business units.
He further asked GM DIC to organize an exposure tour and apprenticeship programmes for ITI and Polytechnic students to Industrial estates and IGS.
