An online job fair for students and alumni of PetrSU was held on the “Faculty” platform.
On October 21, the PetrSU Career Center together with the Trud.com student association held another digital job fair on the Faculty platform.
More than 180 vacancies were updated within the framework of the fair. The largest number of vacancies were presented in such areas as: work with people, education, IT, management, engineering, programming, construction, marketing and PR, sales and others. Most of the responses from students were received by employers: LLC “Neosystems IT”, “Kitchen”, Cosmos Hotel Petrozavodsk, JSC “Onega shipbuilding and ship repair plant”, United CryptoSystems.
There were more than 100 students registered at the Job Fair, and 44 employers. The most active students were students of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as the Institute of Foreign Languages.
During the online fair, it was possible to “attend” webinars and be tested. For PetrSU students, Neosystems North-West LTD held an Open Day, and Segezha Group presented its company and introduced the participants to current vacancies.
This year, the most popular tests among students were: the IQ test from MIT from Faculty, the test for erudition from the Information Agency “TASS”, the test for knowledge of popular slogans from the Career Center of PSU. Sholem Aleichem, test for knowledge of elementary mathematics from “Faculty”, testing from the Moscow bank PJSC “Sberbank”, the test “Customer focus” from the State Budgetary Institution MFC of the city of Moscow. In addition to tests, you can take various soft and hard-skills development courses on the platform.
The advantage of holding a digital job fair was that employers from other regions who had not previously participated in the fair registered. Such platforms for students give access to internship and internship options that are not announced anywhere else; inform about career events not only of their university, but also of other universities in the country. This contributes to the expansion of the geography of employment for PetrSU students.
The system is constant, the opportunities for interaction between students and graduates with employers do not end with the end of the fair: all the same and more remains available after the event in the digital career environment of PetrSU at the Faculty.
For a student, an autumn job fair is a good job checking resume, interviewing experience, and getting to know the job market. A job fair is a kind of indicator of how much your experience, skills and competencies are in demand and what should be emphasized while you are still studying,

The Faculty platform is not just a job search site, it is a digital career environment. We can say that this platform is a single platform for conducting career online events for all universities and employers in Russia. Students and employers communicate directly with each other. A university profile is created on the platform, where students post their resumes, and employers post vacancies, and matches are assigned. Not only the employer can add a student or graduate to the talent pool, the system reads the interests of the applicant and forms a career trajectory.
