DIPR Cultural Wing celebrates Independence Day with inmates of Central Jail Kotbhalwal

JAMMU: A cultural programme was today held here at Central Jail Kotbhalwal Jammu as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav celebrations.

On the occasion, a cultural programme was presented by the Cultural Wing of the Department of Information and Public Relations.

The artists participating in the programme were Vijay Anand, Drama Instructor, Kamal Kumar Sr. Cultural Assistant, Mohinder Kumar, Sr. Cultural Assistant, Balbir Singh, Sr. Cultural Assistant, Banti Kumar, Sr. Cultural Assistant, Rajid Bhaderwahi, Sr. Cultural Assistant and Mukesh Kumar.

The main focus of the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav was on celebration of 75th Independence Day.

The artists presented patriotic songs and skits on the sacrifices made by Martyrs and on the theme of cleanliness and integrity.

The inmates of the jail also presented a colorful cultural program and displayed their talent of poetry, singing, dancing and cultural activities.

Sr. Superintendent Central Jail Kotbhalwal, Dinesh Sharma who was Chief Guest also spoke on the occasion.

Medical Officer Jammu of the Jail presented the Vote of thanks .
