DIPR Kathua organises inter-school Symposium on ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’
KATHUA : To aware the students about the contribution of freedom fighters in freedom struggle, Kathua Unit of Department of Information and Public Relations organized an Inter-School symposium on the topic “Celebrating 75 years of Indian Independence under ”Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” at Kids Heaven Higher Secondary School Kathua here today.
Social Welfare Officer Kathua, Abdul Rahim was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The staff members and students of participating schools were present on the occasion.
The Programme started with the lighting of the traditional Lamp by the chief guest. Principal Kids Heaven Higher Secondary School Sat Paul Mansotra welcomed the guests.
Ten students of various schools participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topic.
Highlighting the role of freedom fighters in the Indian freedom struggle, Social Welfare Officer Kathua hailed the Information Department for organizing the symposium on the topic “Celebrating 75 years of Indian Independence” under ”Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.” He asked the students to follow the footsteps of the freedom fighters and contribute towards nation building.
It is pertinent to mention here that Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements. The official journey of “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav” commenced on 12th March 2021 which starts a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end post a year on 15th August 2023.
A panel of three judges comprising Lecturer Pawan Vivek, Lecturer Santosh Sharma and Child Protection Officer Yudhveer Singh judged the participants of the symposium.
Samiya Sharma of Kids Heaven Higher Secondary School Kathua bagged the prestigious first position while second position was secured by Mansi Salaria of Nav Jagriti Niketan Higher Secondary School Kathua. Arun Singh of R. S.Golden Higher Secondary School stood third in the symposium.
Later prizes and certificates were awarded to the participants.
