DIPR organises Cultural programmes on COVID appropriate behavior in Hiranagar

 

Kathua: With an aim to aware the people about Dos & Don’ts to fight Covid-19, Department of Information & Public Relations(DIPR) today organized a series of Cultural programmes at different locations in Hiranagar Sub Division.

Pertinently, the DIPR has undertaken a drive under Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’ to organize cultural programmes at different levels to educate people on key issues like Covid-19, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Drug menace etc.

The Cultural troupes of DIPR presented solo cultural performances on the theme of Covid-19 doa & don’ts at Panchayat Kootah, Panchayat Bhaiya and at BDO office Hiranagar.

Cultural Performances in Hindi and Dogri language like “Do Gazz Doori, Mask hai Zaroori”, Swachhta se hi hum aage badenge, Carona ki bimari se bachnege”, “Assein Sarein ki Samjhana hai, Assain Carona ithon Nassana Hai” got thunderous applause from the gatherings.

Sarpanch Panchayat Bhaiya, Dolly Sharma appreciated the efforts of DIPR for educating people by organizing cultural programmes at Panchayat level.

Block Development Officer, Hiranagar, Sheetal, while speaking on the occasion said, the role of PRIs is vital in helping administration to curb the spread of Covid-19. She said initiatives to spread the message like taking measures and following Covid appropriate behavior in local language will have more impact on the people. She said the block administration will extend full cooperation to DIPR in organizing such events in other parts of Hiranagar.
