DIPR Samba organises cultural programme to promote girl child rights
Samba: To spread awareness among the rural population about the Girl Child Rights, Samba District centre of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), today organised a cultural cum awareness programme at far flung village Purani Kali, Panchayat Paper Avtara of block Nud.
The awarness programme witnessed participation of a large gathering of rural population in general and young girls in particular. A group of professional theatre artists performed different cultural programmes, songs and nukkad nattak to generate a mass awareness about the ‘Girl child rights’.
The theme of the programme was Beti Bachao Beti Padho and Girl Child Rights. Sarpanches, Panches and other prominent personalities of the Panchayat were also present.
The function was conducted by District Information Officer, Ajay Sharma, while theatre artists Ajit Sharma, Ravi Dutta, Surjit kumar, Neelam gandotra, Naresh kumar, Kuldeep Kumar and company under ‘New Sargam Social and Cultrual Club’ presented various items.
Pamphlets regarding government sponsored schemes were also distributed among the villagers.
