DIPR’s Cultural Wing organizes events at Bajalta, Surinsar

JAMMU : The Cultural Wing of Directorate of Information, Jammu today organized a mesmerizing event at Bajalta to commemorate Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.

During the programme, the artists Vijay Anand, Kamal Kumar, Mohinder Panchairvi, Balbir Singh and Rajid Bhadarwai presented patriotic songs.

A Mushaira was also held in which about 10 poets of Dogri Sahitya Sabha including Janak Raj Bhagat, Subash Sumbria, Ramesh Chander, Sarswati, Gillu Ram, Hans Raj Sumbriya, Sansar Chand Kalotra, Jamba Ram, Ashok Kumar Sharma recited their poems.

District Development Council Chairman, Choudhary Rehmat Ali, was the chief guest on the occasion. He lauded the department for presenting such kind of cultural programmes which immensely contribute towards preserving and propagating our rich traditions and customs.

President of Dogri Sahitya Sabha, Subhash Sumbria, appreciated the DIPR’s cultural wing for organizng such enthralling programs to mark celebration of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.

Meanwhile, the cultural wing also organized an event on the subject at Tooten Di Khui, Surinsar road, which was attended by a good number of audiences.
