Director Agriculture Jammu reviews progress under CAPEX Budget 2021-22

 

JAMMU : Director Agriculture Production & Farmers’ Welfare Jammu, K. K. Sharma today chaired a meeting of the officers to review the progress under CAPEX 2021-22, here at Krishi Bhawan.

The physical and financial achievements/ expenditure under various Centrally Sponsored schemes and CAPEX Budget 2021-22 were discussed threadbare in the meeting.

The Director Agriculture asked to expedite utilization of funds under CAPEX Budget 2021-22 to ensure maximum achievement at the earliest. He asked officers to ensure strict adherence to quality parameters and Codal formalities as per DPRs while executing all infrastructure development works. He further impressed upon the officers to identify and resolve the bottlenecks for successful implementation of farmer welfare schemes.

The aims, objectives, scope and nature of projects being implemented by the Departments were discussed in detail wherein, the Director insisted upon rational allocation of targets for equitable development of all areas.

Director also took the latest update regarding geo-tagging of executed works. Progress in respect of Mushroom/Apiculture Development Schemes, Vegetable Improvement Scheme, Saffron Mission Kishtwar, Soil Heath Scheme, smooth functioning of Departmental Farms was also reviewed in the meeting.

The meeting was attended among others by Joint Director Agriculture (Extension), Rajan Sharma, Joint Director (Farms), Rajinder Sharma, Joint Director (Apiculture & Mushroom), Iqbal Singh, Plant Protection officer, Agronomist Vegetables, Deputy Director Agriculture (Trainings), DD Planning, Accounts officer, Agriculture Chemist, Agriculture Economist, Agriculture Research Engineer, Farm Managers SM Farm Chinore/Chakrohi and Sectoral Heads of different Schemes of Agriculture Department. Chief Agriculture Officers of all districts of Jammu Division attended the meeting through virtual mode.
