Director Agriculture Visits Sub Division Tral of district Pulwama; Emphasize on introduction of improved, modern agricultural technology for economic development
SRINAGAR: Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal today visited South Kashmir’s Tral Sub-division of District Pulwama. Director Agriculture visited far flung and tribal villages Hajin, Lurgam, Vantinad, Narastaan and Devar.
Director was accompanied by Chief Agriculture Officer Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dhobi, Deputy Director Planning Mohammad Younis Chowdhary, Agriculture Extension Officer Lurgam, Member Kisan advisory Board for the Development of Kissans Irshad Ahmad Dar and other Senior Officers of the Department.
While expressing his views Director Agriculture said the economic development of these far flung and tribal areas expect increased agriculture production and therefore emphasize are being laid on the introduction of improved and modern agricultural technology.
Director Agriculture said that the department is working to offer a conducive and simulating atmosphere for the growth and development of the agriculture sector in these areas ensuring a dignified life to the inhabitants of tribal areas .
He reiterated and highlighted the importance of diversification of Agriculture. He said entrepreneurship in agriculture and allied wings is the only way forward for a prosperous, sustainable and developed agriculture sector. On spot directions were passed for organizing special training programs to aware the farmers of these far flung areas regarding new and innovative agriculture and also instructed to invite the experts from agriculture allied departments to educate the farmers about the schemes being undertaken by their departments.
Chief Agriculture Officer Pulwama briefed the Director regarding the overall Agriculture scenario of the Sub Division Tral.
Director later took a detailed review of different schemes and projects in the Sub Division Tral.
