Director, Animal Husbandry Department, (AHD), Kashmir, inspects Several Units at Baramulla
Baramulla: Director, Animal Husbandry Department, (AHD), Kashmir, Purnima Mittal today visited various locations of Baramulla District in order to take first hand appraisal of units established under different schemes including Integrated Dairy Development Scheme & Cattle Feed Processing & Fodder Development.
The Director visited Palhallan, Mamoosa Pattan, Sopore and other places to inspect the working of Mini Tractors, Milking Machines at Dairy Units and other machineries in the field. She also inspected the Composite Poultry Sale Center at Sopore.
Director AH, inaugurated the first Silage Making Machine in the Kashmir Valley, at Binner.
On the occasion, Dir was informed by the unit holder that apart from utilizing machine for his livestock, he is earning good income by supplying the Silage and Chaffed fodder to farmers.
Later, Director took a meeting of officers of the district at District Veterinary Complex Baramulla.
During the meeting, Officers apprised Director with various issues confronted by them. Director gave a patient hearing to them and promised to resolve the problems in a time bound manner. She also took a thorough review of the functioning of the department.
