Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu conducts inspection of Veterinary Hospitals, Dispensaries

Jammu: Director Animal Husbandry Department Jammu, Vivek Sharma today conducted inspection of various Veterinary Hospitals and Dispensaries in Samba and Jammu district.

In Samba, the Director visited Tehsil Unit Raya, Sub-Center Gurah Salathia, FAC Brick-Malla Motlian, FAC Utterbehni, Veterinary Center Vijaypur, Tehsil Unit Ramgarh, Veterinary Dispensary Dug, Veterinary Hospital Nandpur and Veterinary Hospital Arnia in Jammu district.

During the inspection of these centers, the Director verified the availability of Veterinary Medicine, Vaccines, various AI inputs and maintenance of the available infrastructure. She exhorted upon the concerned officers to properly manage the buildings, machinery and equipments and keep them neat and clean.

She asked the concerned CAHO’s to ensure that punctuality of staff is maintained at all levels in their districts.

The Director said that such surprise inspections will continue in future also and escapism at any level shall not be tolerated. She directed all the stakeholders to be in touch with the farming community especially livestock breeders and ensure that the benefit of departmental schemes percolates down to the micro level so that the objective of doubling of farmers income is accomplished.

She also advised them to instill a sense of responsibility towards the profession and upliftment of livestock breeders by way of extending the benefits of departmental schemes.

Deputy Director (AH) Dr. Javid Katoch and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Samba, Dr. Anil Gupta also accompanied the Director during the tour.
