Director General FP&G conducts B2V4 activities at Panchayat Shiendra- Poonch; Inaugurates several rural assets, holds gram Sabha
POONCH : S. Jatinder Singh, Director General Floriculture Parks and Gardens conducted scheduled activities under B2V4 Programme in Panchayat Shiendra Lower of Block Lassana of District Poonch as the Visiting Officer.
Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat, Wajahat Bhukhari along with all the Panches participated in the two day activities of B2V4.
About 125 persons from the Gram Panchayat participated in the Gram Sabha where a convergence plan of different Departments was discussed and approved. Mahila and Bal Sabhas were also organised during the two day programme where the stress was laid on cleanliness, quality education in schools and check on domestic violence against the women.
The VO gave away 15 land passbooks to the land owners of the Panchayats which were prepared by the Revenue Department, while twenty youth were identified by the Gram Panchayat for training under the Himayat Scheme.
The visiting Officer stressed upon the people of the Panchayat to avail benefits of 225 online services launched by the Government to save themselves from going to different offices for their day to day work.
The Visiting Officer along with the Sarpanch and panches also paid a visit to the PHC, FPS, AW Centres, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Centres and Educational Institutions.
In Government Higher Secondary School Shiendra, a volleyball match and cultural programme was presented by the students. The School Principal, staff members and prominent citizens of the Gram Panchayat were also present. Prizes were given to the students who participated in the twin activities.
The Visiting Officer urged the Gram Panchayat to encourage the people to fight against corruption and drug abuse.
The Social Welfare Department distributed baby kits among the beneficiaries and different aids to the senior Citizens of the Gram Panchayat.
The visiting Officer stressed upon the departments to achieve 100% saturation of the eligible beneficiaries so that genuine persons are not left out of any scheme.
Later, the visiting Officer along with the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat laid the foundation stone of the village Haat and the bridal path in ward No. 02. A Plantation drive was conducted by the Forest Department under the Har Ghar Haryali Programme and the Floriculture Department also planted Hibiscus plants in the premises of GHSS Shiendra.
Inauguration of two rooms of Government Primary School, two PMAY houses and 100 KVA upgraded power distribution transformer was also done by the visiting Officer and the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat.
