Director General of IIMC met Maharashtra Governor
Shared information on the Indian Institute of Mass Communication’s ongoing developments
New Delhi : Director General of Indian Institute of Mass Communication Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Friday. During the meeting, he updated the Governor on the institute’s progress and handed over a copy of the special edition of IIMC’s research journal ‘Sanchar Madhyam’ on the topic ‘100 Years of Media Education in India.’ Prof. Dwivedi also discussed about the Amravati centre of IIMC with Mr. Koshyari.
On this occasion, the Governor said that IIMC is the most prestigious media education institute in the country. Alumni of the IIMC hold key roles in the media industry. The institute has made a significant contribution to the growth of Marathi journalism through the Amravati centre. Shri Koshyari complimented IIMC and lauded Prof. Dwivedi for the institution’s important contributions to media education and research.
During this meeting, the Governor said that Prof. Dwivedi is a renowned journalist and writer. Such a thinker undoubtedly contributes to the formation of a new generation. He has a long experience of journalism. With his dedication and effort, he has guided the path to progress in whatever institution he has stayed in. He said that the innovations made by IIMC in the last one year are an example for other media education institutions in the country.
