Director General Youth Services & Sports reviews activities of department in Kishtwar

Kishtwar: Director General Youth Services & Sports J&K UT, Dr Saleem -Ur- Rahman, attended the refresher course organised by Department of Youth Services and sports here at BVM Kishtwar.

In presence of DYSSO Kishtwar, a guard of honour was presnted to the DGYSS (Chief guest) by the Trainees, resource persons and employees of the sports department .

DYSSO, Kharati Lal Sharma apprised the chief guest about the overall activities conducted by the sports department in the current session by following all SOPs.

He further informed in detail the role of the staff members, who worked as covid-19 warriors amid the pandemic and other sports activities.

Director General Youth Services and Sports lauded the efforts of DYSSO Kishtwar and expressed satisfaction over the activities held by it in the current year. He stressed upon all sports employees to learn latest scientific techniques and forensics to hone the talent of the students.

He also stressed on the employees to work hard and hone the sports skills of students for facing state, national and international level competitions. He further asked to encourage and motivate the students to follow the SOPs, traffic rules, besides save forests, electricity and water,

Later, the DG visited to GHSS Kishtwar and inspected the progress of work on the construction of indoor stadium. He said that sports infrastructure was a source of pride for sports department and an asset that will have to be preserved.
