Director Horticulture inspects dev works in Dansal block

Jammu: Director Horticulture Jammu, Ram Savak, long with a team of experts and Chief Horticulture Jammu, today visited Dansal block to inspect last year’s work including drilling of Borewells, area expansion works, pack houses, drip and sprinkler irrigation works.

During the tour, some orchardists reported Mango and litchi fruit drop due to recent wind storm and requested director to address their problems.

Various techniques like use of anti-hail nets, low height high density plantation and making of Ambchuran from unripe fallen mango fruits was discussed in detail.

All precautions for COVID 19 pandemic were followed and no gathering was allowed during the tour.

Horticulture Development officer Dansal, Sandeep Sharma was asked to gear up the process for the new plantation that is to be done in July August and incentive is Rs 50000 per hectare for the farmer.
