Director, IMS Ghaziabad Conferred with “Best Director Award”

Ghaziabad: We are proud to share that Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, has been conferred with the prestigious “Best Director Award” for exemplary services in the field of education during the premier “11th Higher Education & Skill Development Summit” and “11th Education Excellence Awards” on September 02, 2022 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. Receiving the prestigious award, Dr. Urvashi Makkar expressed her gratitude to Mr. Nitin Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Governing Body, IMS Ghaziabad for his constant enablement and dedicated the recognition to the cumulative efforts of each member of the Institute.

She also shared her insights in the Expert led Panel Discussion on the theme “Integration of Skill Education, Entrepreneurship & Innovations in Higher Education” in the high profile summit.

Speaking on the discussion theme, Dr. Urvashi Makkar highlighted that the crucial aspect of entrepreneurship & innovation must not be discussed in silos. According to her, it must be discussed in terms of the entrepreneurial & skill enhancement ecosystem nurtured at home along with the stimulus given by the society and country at large. Emphasizing upon the role of higher educational institutions in integrating this crucial aspect in their curriculum & pedagogy, she drew attention of the delegates on the multiple initiatives undertaken by the Institute in this direction.
