Director JKEDI e-inaugurates Entrepreneurship Development Program
Anantnag: Director Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), G. M. Dar, on Tuesday e-inaugurated an Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) for the educated unemployed youth of district Anantnag.
The Institute has organized this EDP under Himayat Self Employment Scheme (HSES), in which 50 candidates have registered and shall undergo training in basic business management over the next 18-days.
In his address, Director JKEDI, G.M Dar, welcomed the participants and assured them all possible support to establish new business ventures and up-scaling of the existing small business units after the completion of training.
He said that the youth of the J&K has a great potential to excel in any field. “I congratulate you all for choosing JKEDI to realize your dreams. I will monitor the progress of this training program and disbursal of your respective files once they are complete in all respects,” Director JKEDI told the aspiring entrepreneurs.
He assured them that the Institute will handhold every candidate and ensure smooth processing of their cases in a time-bound manner. The Director urged District Nodal Officer Anantnag to provide all facilities available for the trainees for the EDP’s smooth conduct.
The candidates have chosen varied activities in the sectors like manufacturing, trading, Agri-allied and services sector to earn their livelihood in a dignified manner.
“On the directions of the Director, we have ensured that candidates from all the blocks of Anantnag attend the programme,” said the Course Coordinator.
After the training program, the aspirants shall be provided financial linkage under the Term Loan scheme of National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) to establish their respective business ventures.
The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) staff, District Nodal Officer Anantnag, Syed Asrar Qadri and Mudasir Mohiuddin, Trainer for the programme, attended the e-inauguration. This EDP is the first training program at district centre Anantnag after the COVID-19 restrictions were eased out earlier.
