Director RDD Kashmir takes review of implementation status of schemes in Budgam

Stresses on 100% saturation in flagship schemes, timely execution & completion of developmental works

BUDGAM : The Director, Rural Development Department (RDD) Kashmir, Imam Din today chaired a meeting at Conference Hall Budgam to review the implementation of schemes, status of developmental works of RDD in Budgam.

At the outset, the Director took detailed Block wise review of status of flagship programmes including MGNREGA, PMAY-G and Sanitation works besides progress of works under the Capex Budget 2022-23 and works related to Back to Village programme.

He also reviewed the CD and Panchayat Sector, renovation of Panchayat Ghars, playfield development in each panchayat and saturation in compost and soakage pits status in all blocks of the district.

The Director stressed on making robust development plans as per the norms and requirement and DPRs with proper estimations. He also appreciated the RDD Budgam for good work in construction of Amrit Sarovars.

On the occasion, the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Nuzhat Qureshi presented a detailed presentation on status of ongoing works, targets, achievements, works tendered and allotted and overall implementation of flagship schemes in the district through a power point presentation.

Stressing on the timely execution and completion of all developmental works, the Director emphasised on eco-friendly asset creation, rationalization of staff and work in proper coordination with PRIs, alignment of poles at playfields, development of both individual and community based sockage and compost pits in all panchayat halqas .

While giving emphasis on sanitation, the Director said proper solid and liquid waste management be ensured in all blocks and construction of segregation sheds, locating of dumping sites are completed for proper disposal of garbage in all areas.

In order to ensure all safety measures are taken into consideration during construction of Houses under PMAY-G, the Director said that awareness and training of masons and house owners be conducted in all panchayats.

Among others, the meeting was attended by BDC Chairman Budgam, SE RDD, ACD, ACP, Executive Engineer (REW), BDOs and other concerned officers.
