Directorate of School Education Jammu hosts Division level Patriotic Song Competition

 

JAMMU : Directorate of School Education Jammu today organised a Divisional Level Patriotic Song Competition for the students of Jammu division under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Manthan’ and as part of the 15 day long celebrations to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence.

The winners of the District Level Competition, held on 3rd of August 2021- Archana from district Jammu, Monika from Samba, Nighat from Poonch, Harzik from Doda, Manisha from Ramban, Shallu from Kathua, Shushil from Kishtwar, Kashish from Rajouri, Varsha from Udhampur and Master Nusrullah from district Reasi competed in the event.

Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sham Sajan, renowned singer, musician and poet of J&K along with singer Gursharan Kour were the judges.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma highlighted the importance of patriotic values. He said that a nation is known by the values it promotes and preserves and the students of today will determine the future of the nation tomorrow. He extended his blessings to the participating students and wished them well for the future.

The event was organised through the Cultural and Education Cells of the Directorate and was hosted by Supriya Sharma, while technical support was provided by Ashutosh Sharma.
