Dist Admin Budgam felicitates Insha Bashir, International Wheelchair Basketball player
Insha Bashir is a role model for younger generation: DC
BUDGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid today felicitated International Wheelchair Basketball Player Insha Bashir, for her overall achievements and for winning Silver Medal at international level recently in November 2022.
It is worth mentioning here that Insha Bashir Budgam’s first international wheelchair basketball player, has been selected as captain of JKs wheelchair basketball team.
While interacting with Insha Bashir, the DC congratulated her for winning Silver Medal at international level and termed it as a pride for Jammu & Kashmir In general and district Budgam in particular.
Insha Bashir also shared her experience of success. She said she wants to win a Gold medal in the Paralympics for the Country.
She said that she was extremely happy after winning the silver medal and called receiving the National award for her achievement as her grand success.
Insha Bashir said that she had been working hard since she met with an accident and it is a proud moment for her to be felicitated by her home District Administration. She also thanked the district administration for every support.
District Social Welfare Officer Dr.Farhana Asgar, District Programme Officer ICDS, District Information Officer, other officers and officials were present in the felicitation ceremony.
