Distinct honour for three BVM Global schools to be amongst 75 Schools to receive Virtual reality (VR) kits from SASTRA University
Three BVM Global Schools were selected amongst 75 schools to receive free Virtual reality (VR) kits as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and NEP 2020, an event organized by SASTRA University on August 15, 2022.
The event was focused on enriching the knowledge of advanced future technologies like Virtual reality (VR), Metaverse, IoT, and 3D Printing. The schools were specially educated about Virtual Reality as the 3D world and its importance in education, the military, and healthcare is increasing at a fast pace. Furthermore, Sastra imparted hands-on training to the teachers on Virtual reality (VR) knowledge.
The VR sets and the training helps to educate students of BVM Global School about the benefits of the futuristic technologies like virtual reality and how it can contribute to the development of India.
BVM Global students will have an added advantage due to the hands-on learning experiences of the Virtual reality technology that will shape their future for the better.
On the occasion of the completion of India’s 75 years of independence, Mr Ramana Prasad, the chairman of BVM Global Group of Schools, thanked SASTRA Deemed University for this great initiative to promote virtual reality technology by freely distributing Virtual reality (VR) kits to 75 schools. He also mentioned that Virtual reality (VR) has the potential to deliver innovative and interactive experiences for individuals.
Mr Ramana Prasad also pointed out that advanced technologies such as AI & virtual reality have the highest growth potential in future careers. He also cited that with the advancements in technology and digitization and the rise in the number of smartphone and gadget users, virtual reality is going to be the driving force for various industries like gaming, entertainment, edtech, and others. With the increasing adoption of immersive technologies like virtual reality, the interactivity and engagement of individuals will increase. Initiatives such as the one by SASTRA Deemed University will help students understand how technologies like virtual reality function and their significance for the future. This, in turn, will pique the interest of young minds in advanced technologies, encouraging them to pursue a career in them in the future.
