District Admin organises Awareness cum Employment camps for youth in 3 blocks of Ramban
RAMBAN : District Administration Ramban under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today conducted special registration camps-cum-awareness at Block Ramsoo, Banihal and Khari of Ramban district to generate employment among the unemployed youth of the district.
These awareness and mapping programmes were held on Accelerating Livelihood Generation programme of Mission youth in collaboration with Labour and Employment Department, Rural Development Department, EDI, J&K Bank , KVIB, DIC, Horticulture, Agriculture, and sheep and animal Husbandry and other departments.
A large number of youth participated and got themselves registered and subsequently mapped under relevant programmes of Mission Youth under the supervision of officers of District Employment & Counseling Centre Ramban, District Industries Centre Ramban, concerned BDOs, besides various other departments.
On the occasion, representatives of Animal Husbandry department Ramban briefed the audience especially youth at block headquarter Khari regarding the developmental schemes of Animal Husbandry department.
While interacting with the gathering, the representatives of Labour department advised them to avail maximum benefits from various government schemes meant for their welfare. He said that the Department and JKBOCWWB are working in tandem for the development and welfare of the labour class.
Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhyan, youth volunteers shall conduct meetings with PRIs ,teachers, parents, at Panchayat level and aware them about ill effects of drug menace and steps taken by the district administration to get rid off this menace. More such awareness programmes will be organised by district administration Ramban under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhyan.
The officers sensitized the youth and urged upon them to become the ambassadors of Nasha Mukt Abhiyan so that the message reaches in every nook and corners of the district.
The DC asked the interested unemployed youth to take part in these programmes and register themselves for different programmes of livelihood generation. He also appealed to the unemployed youth to take a keen interest in self-employment and become entrepreneurs to generate livelihood for themselves and others as well, adding that the Government is committed to their hand-holding under the ambitious Mission Youth Programme.
