District Admin organizes Capacity Building Programme for ZEOs, HoIs at GHSS, Kothibagh

 

SRINAGAR : The District Administration Srinagar on Tuesday organized a daylong enlightening Capacity Building Programme for Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and Heads of Institutions(HoIs) of Elementary Schools of District Srinagar at Government Higher Secondary School, Kothibagh, here.

The Programme on “How to Improve Learning Outcomes In School Education” was organized on the directions of the District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad to further improve and strengthen the Education scenario in Srinagar District.

The Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, Chief Education Officer, Manzoor Ahmad Kumar, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Zonal Education Officers, Resource Persons and Heads of Elementary Schools among others attended the programme.

On the occasion, several experts spoke on the topic and highlighted the importance of such programmes and participants were apprised about the achievement level of students and measures that need to be taken to improve the learning outcomes at various levels.

The Chief Planning officer, Srinagar gave a detailed presentation regarding Gross Enrolment Ratio, Net Enrolment Ratio and Achievement levels in National Achievement Survey(NAS). He also suggested multiple measures that need to be implemented at elementary school level to improve learning outcomes.

During the programme, a question answer session was also held regarding various issues pertaining to the topic. All the queries were well received and aptly replied upto the satisfaction of the Heads of the Institutions. They were also given an exhaustive introduction about the various Schemes implemented in the School Education Department.

At the end of the programme, the Deputy Chief Education officer, Anjum Raja presented a vote of thanks.
