District administration Rajouri targets to clear 15000 Self Employment cases till March 2022

DC reviews performance of Banks, seeks timely disbursement of loan to approved cases

 

RAJOURI : District administration Rajouri today set the target of clearing 15000 Self Employment cases till March 2022 to provide ample opportunity to unemployed youth of the district to set up their ventures.

In this regard, District Development Commissioner, Rajesh K Shavan chaired a meeting to review the performance of the Banks with regard to clearance of self employment generation scheme loan cases.

The meeting was attended by the CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; GM DIC, Manzoor Hussain; CAHO, Dr Fazal Hussain; LDM, Jyoti Prakash Sharma; DDM NABARD, Kanav Sharma; DSHO, Dr Safraz Naseem Chowdhary; District Officer KVIB, Abdul Aziz; Project Officer DUDA, Kavita besides other concerned officers.

Detailed discussion with regard to the number of cases sponsored by the intending departments, cases sanctioned, cases disbursed, pending for disbursement was held threadbare in the meeting.

The DC asked the Banks to strive hard and set the target of achieving 55 percent CD ratio at the earliest. He also asked the Banks to be liberal in sanctioning the loans to beneficiaries.

It was decided that the progress on Self Employment generation schemes would be monitored on a daily basis through a dashboard for which the DC passed necessary instructions to the concerned officer for getting the data updated daily on the dashboard.

Bank Authorities were directed to clear 15000 cases under Self Employment generation schemes by the end of March 2022.

They were further directed to continue to hold loan melas to facilitate the beneficiaries.

While reviewing the cases sanctioned under PMEGP DIC, it was informed that 377 cases have been sponsored to the Banks out of which 212 cases stand disbursed. Taking stock of progress of cases sanctioned under PMEGP KVIB, it was informed that 427 cases have been sponsored and 120 cases have been disbursed. Similarly, out of 39 cases sponsored to the Banks, 12 cases have been disbursed as of now.

Discussing the progress under JKREGP, it was informed that out of 61 cases sponsored to the Banks, as many as 16 cases stand disbursed. Reviewing the progress made under NULM, it was informed that out of 137 cases sponsored to the Banks, as many as 56 cases have been disbursed.

Regarding the cases sponsored under ST/ SC and OBCs, the meeting was apprised that out of 255 sponsored cases only 2 cases have been disbursed. Similarly, the DDC also reviewed the sanction of KCC under Handicraft sector . It was apprised that out of 73 cases sponsored to the Banks, 24 cases have been disbursed.

The bankers were directed to provide hassle free loan facility under SC/ST/OBC loans schemes.

Reviewing the progress under MUMKIN scheme, it was apprised that out of 147 cases, as many as 61 have been disbursed.

Similarly, the DDC also reviewed the progress under other Self employment generation schemes including Mudra Yojana, ultra high density apple plantation, NRLM, PM SVANIDHI etc.

Progress concerning social security schemes including PMSBY, PMJJBY was also reviewed in depth and directions were passed to cover all account holders under the social security schemes.

The DDC, while speaking in the meeting, asked the Bank authorities and officers of line Departments to work in close coordination to ensure timely disbursement of loans to the beneficiaries under Self employment generation schemes.

He said there is a need to bring more educated and unemployed youth under the ambit of different Government schemes.

The DDC further stressed upon them to educate the unemployed youth about the self employment generation schemes and exhorted the departments to motivate maximum number of youth as there is huge untapped potential in these schemes.

DDC asked the Bank Authorities to expedite the progress concerning the disbursement of sponsored cases so that the beneficiaries don’t suffer due to delayed disbursement.

On the occasion, Potential linked credit plan of NABARD was also launched. PLP is a comprehensive documentation of the potential of economic activities in the district which gives block-wise physical and financial estimates for the economic activities which can be taken up for development. The estimates are worked out for the total financial outlays and net bank credit.
