District administration reaches out to 158 labourers, students of Kishtwar stranded at outside UT
Kishtwar: As many as 158 stranded labourers, residents and students of district Kishtwar who approached the district administration through helpline numbers were today reached out and their grievances were redressed under the supervision of District Magistrate Rajinder Singh Tara.
Accordingly the concerned authorities in different States were approached and the request was made to ensure the provision of food/ration to the stranded persons of district Kishtwar.
138 labourers who are stranded at the various districts of Himachal Pradesh including 23 at kullu, 41 at Chamba , 40 at Shimla , 6 at Kangra , 17 at Mandi , 10 at Shimla Chidgar and 01 at Sirmore were today reached out and contact was established between them and the control room established at respective districts for provision of food and other essentials.
Moreover, 17 students who are stranded at Delhi were also reached out and matter was taken up with the concerned ration distribution centers for providing food to them. Besides problem of 01 student stuck at Ludhiana and 02 students at Rudra Pragyag Uttarakhand were also redressed by district administration.
District administration has been regularly counseling and educating the stranded persons of district Kishtwar to stay at home during the lock down period besides they have been asked to contact the office of Nodal Officer for any help with regard to requirement of basic amenities like food/ration.
