District Development Commissioner Kathua Gives away loan assistance orders to 20 young entrepreneurs

Kathua: District Development Commissioner Kathua, O.P Bhagat today chaired a meeting to review progress made on various development works under CAPEX Budget (2020-21), besides implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in the district.
The meeting was attended by CPO, Uttam Singh; ACD, Narayan Dutt; Executive Engineers of PWD, PHE, PDD, Irrigation, AD FCSCA, CEO, EO and other district officers.
At the outset, the DDC sought sector wise details of projects executed and reviewed major achievements under District Capex Budget 2020-21. He took a comprehensive review of the progress of the developmental projects undertaken under PWD, RDD, PDD, Health, Education, Jal Shakti and other sectors.
While reviewing Adhaar seeding by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department, the DDC was apprised by AD FCSCA that over 90% of the target has been achieved. He directed AD FCSCA to complete the seeding of all ration consumers before 30 November 2020.
The DDC directed all the officers to expedite the execution of development works to achieve targets besides ensuring timely tendering, sanction and other codal formalities for taken up works. He also emphasized accelerating the pace of work to achieve targets within a time bound manner. He also stressed on regular field visits by the officers to ensure works are executed on time and under set quality parameters.
The DDC also impressed upon the officers to take up all works stalled due to Covid-19. He further directed executing departments to take all necessary steps to follow Covid-19 related SOPs while executing works.
Earlier, the DDC distributed 20 loan sanction letters among the beneficiaries for setting up self employment units under B2V3 Self Employment Programme.
The DDC said the process of identifying the aspirants was done by respective visiting officers during the prestigious B2V3 and My Town My Pride programmes in association with Jammu & Kashmir Bank. He said to empower youth and women entrepreneurs by providing them financial assistance for self employment was one of the major objects of recently concluded B2V3 and My town My pride programs.
