District Employment and Counselling Centre Jammu organizes ‘Job Fair cum Placement Drive’

JAMMU : District Employment and Counselling Centre Jammu today organized ‘Job Fair cum Placement Drive’ at Employment Complex Tophsherkhania, Jammu.

Speaking on the Occasion Deputy Director Employment, Dr. Manisha Koul raised the concerns of unemployed youth and laid stress on various challenges faced by the youth in seeking jobs & urged the companies to engage maximum youth in order to provide them access to various Career options.

The Participating Companies in the Job Fair included Innov Solutions Ltd, Paytm, Saraswati Agro Chemicals, Life Insurance Corporation, and Jaanbaaz Securities Pvt. Ltd. The Companies focused on hiring 10th Pass, 12th Pass, Graduates, ITI Pass outs Candidates.

Dushant Singh, Career Counselling Officer interacted with the Job Seekers and guided them regarding the Companies requirement and Interview Process. He encouraged the Job Seekers to put in their best effort for the Interview Process..

Shivali Choudhary, Employment Officer guided them about various activities of the department like Online Registration on Department’s Portal (jakemp.nic.in), Career Counselling , Awareness on Self Employment Schemes of the Government etc.

DECC Jammu aims at providing a platform to the unemployed youth of District Jammu through various Job Opportunities and Self Employment Avenues. It focuses on enhancing the employability skills of youth and providing various services via online mode.

An overwhelming response was received from the candidates participating in the Job Fair. The Job fair was attended by more than 200 Job Seekers and 40 candidates were shortlisted .
