District level awareness Camp on EG&CGF Scheme held at Kallar

UDHAMPUR : A District Level Awareness Camp on Equity Grant & Credit Guarantee Fund Scheme (EG&CGF) for Farmer Producer Companies(FPCs) & Venture Capital Assistance(VCA) scheme for Agri-Business Development was today organised here at Conference Hall of SDAO Kallar.

The camp was organised by the Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), Ministry of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare.

The camp was attended by DDM Rajesh Kumar, ADO B K Mahajan; DAO(Extn) Alok Pandotra; SDAO Udh Rajesh Gandotra; MDO Sukhvir Singh; Branch Heads of all lead banks; AEO Bradian S P Jyoti; AEO Mansar V M Padha and officers of Allied Departments,.

Speaking on the occasion, DDM, Rajesh Kumar from NABARD, explained the benefits of the schemes. He said under the Venture Capital Assistance scheme, the government provides loans without interest for setting up an enterprise or 40% of the margin money, whichever is less. The scheme is being implemented across the country under which 3164 projects have been approved so far. The farmers/participants found this scheme very fruitful & result oriented.
