Distt Admin Bandipora organizes Training/ Orientation program on B2V4 for VOs
BANDIPORA : In order to ensure smooth conduct of phase 4th of Back to Village programme, an orientation programme for sensitization of designated Visiting Officers (VOs) of different departments was organized today at the conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.
The programme was organised under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad and was coordinated by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan, JDP Imtiyaz Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Development Abdul Rashid Das, Nodal Officer/Master Trainers, besides Visiting Officers attended the programme.
On the occasion, Master trainers highlighted the aims and objectives of the programme besides enlightening the officers about the modus operandi of the Ambitious Outreach programme.
Master trainers said on the occasion that under this programme, every Panchayat shall be visited by Gazetted officers and each officer shall spend 2 days with night stay in the allotted Panchayat.
Proper Training through PPT mode was imparted to the trainees regarding the duties and responsibilities of the visiting officers and the supporting staff.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC said that the objective of the B2V4 programme is to energize panchayats, collect feedback on the delivery of government programmes, capturing specific economic potential and undertaking assessment of village level demands besides offering an opportunity to visiting officers to enrich themselves with the field knowledge.
He stressed upon the officers to work with zeal and zest to make “Back to Village programme” a success by keeping the main focus on issues of public importance.
Dr. Owais further exhorted upon the RDD functionaries to coordinate between different line departments for greater impact on the ground level.
Officers should listen to public issues with utmost patience and project public demands to the Administration in consultation with the PRIs, he added.
