DLC Kulgam selects beneficiaries under Aquaculture Development Scheme

KULGAM : To select beneficiaries for establishment of Trout Raceways in Private sector under “Aquaculture Development Scheme” (UT Capex 2022-23), a meeting of District Level Committee (DLC) was held today under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri at mini-secretariat, here.
During the meeting, the committee was apprised by Assistant Director Fisheries Kulgam that a total of 29 applications have been received against the advertisement by Directorate of Fisheries for Construction of Trout Raceways in the district.
He also informed the chair that the feasibility as per the guidelines of the scheme was ascertained and 21 sites were found feasible against target of 03 Units for the district.
The selection of these 03 beneficiaries was made through draw of lots in presence of Committee members and representatives of the applicants.
he Additional Deputy Commissioner Kulgam directed concerned Assistant Director Fisheries to issue work orders in favour of the selected beneficiaries for early execution of the Trout Raceways.
