DLC Samba clears 5 project proposals worth Rs 1 crore under PMFME -ODOP

 

Samba: As part of flagship Atma Nirbhar Bharat (VOCAL FOR LOCAL) programme envisaging promotion of One District One Product (ODOP), District Level Committee Samba today cleared five proposals under PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises(PMFME) scheme, here at its meeting held under chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta.

Out of these 5 approved project proposal , 4 are from AGMO Office Department of Horticulture Planning and Marketing Samba and one from Chief Horticulture Office Samba.

Total project cost of the proposals is approximately Rs 1 Cr with 35% backend subsidy. The beneficiaries, under this employment generation scheme, shall get easy bank finance upto 90% of total project cost, besides technical know-how, training and help in branding and marketing of the products. It is pertinent to mention that “Mushroom” is the notified product under PMFME ODOP scheme for Samba district. The cases have been forwarded to the lending banks on online MIS portal.

Samba, in past few years, has become hub of Mushroom production with the annual turnover crossing ₹ 7 crore. More number of mushroom units, including AC mushroom production units, are being set up which will require processing of mushroom in the form of pickles, dry mushroom, powder and canned mushroom which have great marketing scope within and outside the UT.
