DLCCSC Rajouri sanctions Rs 12.20 lakh compensation/ex-gratia
Rajouri : District Level Coordination cum Screening Committee, which met today here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan cleared 32 cases related to militancy and cross border shelling and sanctioned Rs 12.20 lakh compensation in favour of the affected families.
The meeting was attended by the ASP, Liyaqat Chowdhury; ACR, Mohd Ashraf; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; Tehsildar Rajouri, Mohd Rafeeq; Tehsildar Manjakote, Javed Iqbal Chowdhury, Tehsildar Nowshera, Raju Sambyal and representatives of Army and paramilitary staff.
As many as 34 cases were put before the committee out of which 32 were cleared and the rest two deferred due to want of papers or other documents.
The sanctioned includes an amount of Rs 5.81 lakh in favour of 17 persons whose houses were damaged in the cross border shelling and an amount of Rs 3.39 lakh as ex-gratia relief in favour of 11 persons whose cattle died and an amount of Rs 3.00 lakh in favour of 04 persons who got injured during the cross border shelling.
The officials said that most of the cases were either pending for want of minor formalities or rejected earlier for want of codal formalities which the officials processed as per the directions of the DLCCSC.
