SHOPIAN : The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) today approved 50 cases for disbursement of loan to the eligible beneficiaries under Customised Livelihood Generation, Mumkin Scheme, here.

Beneficiaries hailing from different areas of the district including those from far flung places have been covered under this scheme.

Earlier, District Magistrate, also Chairman DLIC Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishay took a detailed review of the implementation of the (Mumkin) scheme in a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC).

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held on different aspects of the scheme to ensure hassle-free and time bound approval of cases.

Highlighting the importance of the scheme, the Chairman DLIC said that ‘MUMKIN’ scheme is a livelihood generation scheme launched by the Government through which aspiring eligible unemployed Youth can avail benefits to purchase light commercial vehicles to earn livelihood under subsidized norms Vaishya impressed upon AD Employment to bring more progressive youth under the ambit of the scheme by generating awareness among them. He also appealed to eligible youth to come forward and avail livelihood benefits under the scheme.

It was further given out that rest cases will be placed before the Committee for approval in coming days.

Among others the meeting was attended by Assistant Director Employment also (Nodal Officer), Abdul Majid Tantray; General Manager DIC; District Lead Bank Manager; ARTO and other concerned.
