DLSA Anantnag holds seminar on ‘International Biodiversity Day’ at GDC for Women

 

ANANTNAG : In compliance to the directions of State Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Anantnag under the guidance of its chairman Naseer Ahmad Dar today organised a seminar on “International Biodiversity Day” in coordination with Government Degree College Women Anantnag, here.

Head of the departments at District level participated in the said programme.

Secretary DLSA Mir Wajahat, Principal Degree College Women Anantnag spoke on the occasion and highlighted the efficacy of the event.

Professor Sartaj Ahmad from Degree College Anantnag also gave a presentation on the topic.

The main intention of the celebration of International Day of Biodiversity is to increase the understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues and to halt or reverse these issues. It is vital to transform people’s role and actions and relationship with biodiversity.

District Officers particularly Horticulture, Social Forestry and Fisheries also participated in the said programme.

At the conclusion of the programme, mementos were distributed among the distinguished guests.
