DLSA Budgam holds sensitization programme, distributes pamphlets, masks among employees

Budgam: District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Budgam today held awareness cum sensitization programme to prevent the spread of pandemic corona virus at district court complex Budgam.
The programme was presided over by District Sessions and Principal Judge, Chairman DLSA, Raja Shujaat Ali. Speaking on occasion, Chairman DLSA said that there is no need to panic instead every person must follow the prescribed measures and guidelines to contain spread of the disease.
He urged the employees and advocates to ensure proper hand wash hygiene and follow WHO’s course of action in order to prevent getting affected as courts are visited by large number of people every day.
On the occasion, District Health Officer, AG Raina spoke threadbare on the covid-19 and explained symptoms, preventive measures, treatment, source of disease, quarantine treatment, risk factors, testing and screening of suspected.
Dr Raina also gave brief details on measures taken by the health department in Budgam viza viz quarantine facilities and isolation wards for the suspected persons. He said that 80 bed facility for quarantine of suspected has been established in the district and till date 41 persons having travel history of Iran and China have been quarantined at these isolation wards.
Munsiff Judge, Secretary DLSA Tabasum Qadir Parray during her inaugural address said that there was urgent need of awareness about the disease as many local residents have returned from affected countries. She said that more such sensitization programmes will be held in the district by DLSA to creating awareness regarding the infection.
On the occasion, DLSA Budgam also distributed masks and pamphlets among the staff and visiting persons.
The programme was attended by court staff, advocates and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of District Budgam.
