DLSA Reasi holds workshop-cum-training program for PLVs
REASI: Under the Stewardship of Justice Ali Mohammed Magrey, Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority and under the able guidance of its Chairman R.N. Watal (Principal District & Sessions Judge) and also in continuation of its endevours to spread legal awareness among the PLVs, District Legal Services Authority Reasi today conducted a one-day workshop-cum-training program for the PLVs.
This training program started with an inauguration session in which Chairman R.N. Watal, who was the Chief Guest, delivered his presidential speech.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Abdul Sattar was also present on the occasion and addressed the participants.
Secretary DLSA Reasi , Rekha Kapoor Nischal delivered the welcome address and Administrative Officer Principal District & Session Court, Omkar Singh, presented the Vote of Thanks.
After the Tea Break, the training sessions started which was guided by Programme Officer ICDS Reasi, Renu Kumari, Assistant Commissioner Development Reasi, Dr. Anirudh Rai; General Manager District Industrial Center Reasi Gurudev Kumar and District Welfare Officer, Reasi, Gulshan Kumar Sharma.
Renu Kumari briefed the PLVs about the working of ICDS Department and its different schemes being implemented in District Reasi, while Dr. Anirudh Rai spoke on different Poverty alleviation programmes of department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Gurudev Kumar deliberated upon various self employment schemes of District Industrial Center Reasi i.e. Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Program and new Industrial Policy of 2021.
Lastly, Gulshan Kumar Sharma focused upon different schemes of Social Welfare Department such as Schemes for Old aged Persons, Widows, Children particularly students, Schemes for Covid affected families, Schemes for Physically Challenged Persons and also the Schemes of Trans-Genders.
The training Session was followed by Questions and Answers Session wherein the doubts of the PLVs regarding the different Welfare Schemes were addressed by the resource persons.
During the course of the program, pamphlets regarding the Schemes of Social welfare department and District Industrial Centre Reasi were also distributed among the participants.
The Orientation program ended with a valedictory session in which Secretary District Legal Services Authority summed up in brief what was deliberated upon by all the resource persons. She also thanked the resource persons and the participants for their support in making this program successful.
